China Rides Completes 65-Meter Ferris Wheel Installation in Philippines Resort

China Rides has successfully completed the installation of a 65-meter Ferris wheel at a premier resort destination in the Philippines. The observation wheel, positioned along the coastal promenade, offers panoramic views of the ocean and surrounding islands, becoming the resort's signature attraction.

The wheel features 36 spacious cabins, each accommodating up to 6 passengers, with a total capacity of 864 riders per rotation. The rotation cycle of 12 minutes provides ample time for sightseeing and photography. Cabins are equipped with UV-filtering glass, air conditioning, and smartphone charging ports for visitor convenience.

"The location presented unique engineering challenges due to coastal winds and saltwater corrosion," said the lead project engineer. "We used marine-grade stainless steel for all exposed structural components and applied a special anti-corrosion coating system rated for 25 years in coastal environments."

The lighting system features 12,000 individually addressable LED nodes that create spectacular light shows synchronized with music every evening. The shows are programmable through a web interface, allowing the resort to customize displays for special events, holidays, and corporate sponsorships.

Since opening last month, the Ferris wheel has become the most photographed landmark in the resort, with visitor satisfaction ratings of 4.8 out of 5. The resort reports a 35% increase in evening visitor traffic, significantly boosting revenue from food, beverage, and retail outlets near the wheel.
